Resolution
To upgrade the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) version 8.6 SP2 (and later) license:
- Launch the Delegation and Configuration console (D&C) with the DRA Service Account credentials
- Select Configuration Management.
- Select Update License.
- Type the path or browse to the new license file, and click Next.
- Read the License Agreement, select Accept, and click Next.
- Review the New and Existing License Information to be sure the license to be loaded is not a trial license, and click Next.
(Note: A trial license cannot be installed over another trial license or an existing permanent license, nor can the same license be installed twice.) - Select the option to restart the DRA server service, and click Next.
(Note: The service must be restarted for the new license to take effect.) - Click Next.
- When the process finishes, click Finish.
To upgrade the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) version 8.6 SP1 (and prior) license:
- Run the setup program for DRA from Add/Remove Programs (Windows 2003) or Programs and Features (Windows 2008)
- Select Begin Setup.
- Select Advanced Configuration.
- Select Upgrade License and click Next.
- Type the path or browse to the new license file, and click Next.
- Read the License Agreement, select Accept, and click Next.
- Review the New and Existing License Information to be sure the license to be loaded is not a trial license, and click Next.
(Note: A trial license cannot be installed over another trial license or an existing permanent license, nor can the same license be installed twice.) - Select the option to restart the DRA server service, and click Next.
(Note: The service must be restarted for the new license to take effect.) - Click Next.
- When the process finishes, click Finish.
