Situation
Incomplete results are being returned when doing document text searches in the Library. Not all documents are showing up in the find window that should be. Finding using the subject or document number finds these missing documents.
Resolution
Enable the GWDCA (Document conversion agent.) GroupWise uses the GWDCA to open and read document types unknown to the traditional quickfinder indexing code. The GWDCA uses Oracle Outside In technology to convert the documents to a readable format for indexing.
Due to crashes in the gwdca in previous versions of GroupWise many customers have enabled the /nodca switch to avoid issues. In order to allow all documents to be indexed and thus found, this switch should be removed from the POA startup file so that these items can be indexed in future quickfinder indexing jobs.
