Policy changes not taking effect until apache is restarted after applying 3.2sp1 IR1 patch

Environment

NetIQ Access Manager 3.2

Access Gateway (MAG)

Situation

Changes are made through the Administrative Console and then applied/saved. The changes should take effect immediately, but after application of 3.2sp1 IR1 patch a restart of apache or server was needed before the changes took effect.

Resolution

This issue was introduced in ir1. The ir1 patch will be removed from the download page and re-released with an ir1a patch. This should be available in the middle of February 2013.

Cause

Application of interim 1 patch for 3.2sp1.
