When logging into the Operator Web Console the user can authenticate to the website but recieves a http error 500. In looking through the IIS logs the user may encounter the following error:

Resolution

The authenticated user must be granted the following NTFS permissions to the /Netiq/ virtual directory on the IIS server:

The folder exists in the /program files/netiq/ directory by default.

The error is caused becuase the user lacks sufficient NTFS permissions to the NetIQ directory. This directory hosts the virtual directory for the NetIQ Operator Webconsole.
