Suppress reboot after uninstalling the Novell Client

This document (7012161) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 7
Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 8
Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 2008 R2
Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows 2012

Situation

When un-installing the Novell Client "silently" using the command line
rundll32.exe "C:\Program Files\Novell\Client\ncsetup.dll" NWUninstallClient /s
the machine reboots. Is it possible to suppress this re-boot of the machine?

Resolution

It is not possible to suppress the reboot with any shipping Client.  The code path unconditionally executes the reboot at the end of the un-installation process; the /S parameter just determines whether there will be a prompt before the reboot occurs.
