Limit on the Amount of Users in the Contact List

Environment

Novell Messenger 2.2

Situation

User would like to have more then 1000 users or contacts, in the Novell Messenger contact list.
User needs to maintain and correspond with users in various remote offices.

Resolution

This is a 1000 user/contact limit that is hard coded to prevent performance problems on messenger during status updates.

Workarounds:
1)  Use the broadcast feature to send to more users.
2)  Create multiple Messenger accounts and organize by geographic area to connect with users in those areas as needed.
