- 2 July, 2013 - Novell has released Filr 1.0 Hot Patch 1
This addresses a potential date loss scenario when personal storage is enabled, and all Filr customers are encouraged to apply hot patch 1 to prevent data loss from happening.
- 16 Sept, 2013 - Novell has released Filr 1.0.1.
This release provides several enhancements to the Filr appliance including performance and reliability improvements, support for additional deployment options and resolution of Novell Filr 1.0 issues reported by customers and partners.
Enhancements to Novell Filr 1.0.1:
* Certified support for EMC, NetApp, and NAS devices using CIFS/SMB v1.
* Support for Windows 2012.
* Support for deployments using the XEN hypervisor.
* Support for deployments using Microsoft Hyper-V.
* Improved Net Folder sync performance.
* Improved desktop client reliability.
* The 1.0.1 release will not officially support Windows DFS Namespace but offers the functionality as Tech Preview.
All current Filr 1.0 customers are encouraged to upgrade at earliest convenience. Please be aware of the current issues section in the documentation before upgrading.
