Situation

After install of 'ZCM 11.2.3a fix for four reporting problems' (TID 5160550) or ZCM 11.2.3a MU1, export PDF report format unusable

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.4 - see TID 7012027 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at http://www.novell.com/support/search.do?usemicrosite=true&searchString=7012027
 
For ZCM 11.2.3a: A fix for this issue is intended to be included in a future update to the product: however, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, in the form of a Field Test File (FTF): it can be obtained at http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=hGn-vRec0UY~ as "ZCM 11.2.3a fix for six reporting problems". This Patch should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.

This Patch has had limited testing, and should not be used in a production system without first being checked in a test environment. Some Patches have specific requirements for deployment, it is very important to follow any instructions in the readme at the download site. Please report any problems encountered when using this Patch, by using the feedback link on this TID.

Steps to reproduce:

Software Report

1. New customized report
2. Fill in a name
3. Type: Software
4. Focus: Software (not Antivirus, Hotfix or OS)
5. Next
6. Fill in a Short Description
7. Use the columns that are already selected and also add: OS - Product, Computername, User - Name
8. Select the following criteria:

        a. Device is disabled = No
        b. Product deleted = No
        c. Computername does not contain clmuc AND
        d. Computername does not contain v
 
     Note: criteria c & d are environment specific due to environment naming conventions.

9. Click save
10. Run the report
11. Click PDF (All) to generate a PDF with all sites in it
