named.nlm won't load

Environment

Novell NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 8

Situation

named.nlm won't load and gives the following errors:
Unable to load named.nlm
error: zone_reference_config failed: not found
critical: loading configuration: not found

Resolution

Backup the .db and .jnl files in the SYS:\ETC\DNS directory and remove them from this directory.
Load named.nlm

Cause

Corruption in one of these files.
