This document (7012520) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

Micro Focus Vibe 4.0.2
Novell Vibe 4.0.1
Novell Vibe 4.0
Novell Vibe 3.4

Situation

The Java applets which facilitate the use of the 'drag-and-drop file upload', 'edit-in-place' and 'workflow-viewer' features in Vibe expired on June 4, 2016. These applets have been updated to renew the validity until August 1, 2018 via this patch.

End users may experience one of the following issues along with a Java warning that the certificate has expired:
a. Unable to add files via the drag-and-drop file upload
b. Unable to edit files via the Edit this file
c. Unable to view the workflow preview in the workflow designer

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available in the Vibe - Updated Java Applets patch, available via the Novell Patch Finder. The Java applets have been updated to renew the validity until August 1, 2018 via this patch.

Note: Clearing the Java cache may be needed, see here for how to clear the Java cache on a client machine.
