Novell Access Manager Appliance (Single Box Solution)
Situation
Novell Access Manager 3.2 Appliance with external certificate.
It is a wildcard 3rd party certificate. ie. *.domain1.domain2.com
Can correctly access the IDP base url ie. login.domain1.domain2.com:443/nidp/ and it uses the correct certificate.
However, if going to a protected resource and it redirects to the login page on port 8443 ie. https://login.domain1.domain2.com:8443/nidp/...It uses the certificate of the Appliance instead.

Resolution
Under Devices > Access Gateways > Edit > Reverse Proxy NAM-RP > NAM-Service and select from the pull down and set it to the correct, longer Cookie Domain of .domain1.domain2.com to match the full cookie domain of the external certificate. click ok and update the Access Gateways.
Cause
Under Devices > Access Gateways > Edit > Reverse Proxy NAM-RP > NAM-Service, the shorter Cookie Domain of '.domain2.com' was selected, instead of the full cookie domain of '.domain1.domain2.com'
