GroupWise Client hangs on send

Environment
Novell GroupWise 8
Situation
When composing a new mail item, client hangs after clicking Send.
When sending an email using the GroupWise client - client crashes/freezes/hangs
Resolution
- Disable the Global Signature that is applied to the system or the user:
- Properties of Domain/PO | Client Options | Send Options | Global Signature
- GWIA Properties | SMTP MIME Messaging Formatting | Default Global Signature
- GroupWise Client | Tools | Options | Environment | Signature
- Properties of Domain/PO | Client Options | Send Options | Global Signature
- Restart the GroupWise agents and/or Client to verify proper sending of new emails.
Note: This may confirm the corruption of the signature. - Recreate the Global Signature by removing the old and creating the new:
- Console One | Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Global Signatures
- Apply the signature where desired either as a Global Signature or user's signature.
