Mobility Global Address Book (GAL) not updating

Environment

Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack 1.2.x
Novell GroupWise 8
Novell GroupWise 2012

Situation

Changes made to the GroupWise System Address Book do not sync to the device
Unable to see the mobile numbers in the GAL lookup on the device after adding it to the System Address Book
Changes made to the GroupWise System Address Book cannot be seen on GAL on the device

Resolution

The GAL updates on the mobility server every thirty minutes. To force an update, restart DataSync by typing rcdatasync restart

Additional Information

It is planned in the future to include an option in the WebAdmin to force a manual sync of GAL.
