What are the software requirements for installing Directory and Resource Administrator 8.6?
Resolution
Directory and Resource Administrator 8.6 has the following software requirements for the server components and user interfaces:
Administration Server Requirements
The Administration server computer should be a server in the domain you plan to manage and is recommened to meet these minimum software requirements.
Operating Systems:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard/Enterprise/Datacenter edition 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) Service pack 2 or greater
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard/Enterprise/Data center edition 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) Service pack 2 or greater
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise/Data center edition 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise/Data center edition 64-bit (x64)
Note: The server must be a member of a Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, or Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 native domain. The server must also have communication with the Domain Controller (DC) that holds the PDC Emulator FSMO role using netBIOS.

Note: SQL Server 2008 is not supported in Directory and Resource Administrator 8.6.

Microsoft Exchange Server Requirements
To install and use ExA, your Microsoft Exchange server must have LDAP support enabled and one of the following versions of Microsoft Exchange software installed:

- Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 with Update Rollup 4
