Can not start dsrepair.nlm or dstrace.dlm on Windows 2008R2 server

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.8.7 for Windows 2008

Situation

Can not start dsrepair.nlm or dstrace.dlm on Windows 2008R2 server

Interactive Services does not provide a  pop up to allow dsrepair or dstrace to start

Resolution

Interactive Services is not started.  To start the service:
  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Double click Administrative Tools
  3. Double click Services
  4. Select the Interactive Service Detection from the list and right click on it
  5. Select Start
  6. Right click Properties
  7. In Startup type select Enable
Now start dsrepair.dlm from the Novell Console or from a command console (cd c:\NOVELL\NDS\DIBfiles then run ..\dhost dsrepair)
Look for the interactive services pop up to allow the service to run.  If not seen on the screen look in the tool bar.

Click OK
