n4u.server.log-file creates a ndsd.log regardless of the log file name specified Change the log name and location for the n4u.server.log-file ndsconfig get n4u.server.log-file=/var/log/myeDir.log When ndsd is restarted it will put stop and start info into the myeDir.log Example: Jul 25 11:21:32 About to stop Novell eDirectory server on host: eDir Jul 25 11:21:32 Stopped Novell eDirectory server on host: eDir . Jul 25 11:21:32 About to start Novell eDirectory server on host: eDir. [ -- DHost Logging STARTED Thu Jul 25 11:22:14 2013 -- ] Jul 25 11:21:32 Started Novell eDirectory server on host: eDir But then after the Started Novell eDirectory server on host, it will create a ndsd.log in the specified directory. Example: /var/log/ndsd.log
