Unable to get to the GWIA properties in 2014 webadmin console

Situation

ERROR: "Can not construct instance of com.novell.gw.admin.shared.Gwia$GwiaAddressFormat from String value 'USER': value not one of declared Enum instance names at [Source: [B@6bbcbf21; line: 52, column: 30] (through reference chain: com.novell.gw.admin.shared.Gwia["addressFormat"])" while clicking on GWIA object in the admin console

Resolution

  1. Launch ConsoleOne
  2. Right-click on the GWIA object and click properties
  3. Click SMTP/MIME | Address Handling
  4. Change the Sender's address format: to Auto and click OK
