Additional Information

Workaround:

The problem is within the file /etc/init.d/jabberd.
In line 233 replace:

rc_status -vrc_status -v

with

rc_status -v

It is not recommended and also not supported to make a change in files in /etc/init.d. Changes could be overwritten when applying an update.
