Situation
IDMRestrictedUser icon shows when users login
Can the IDMRestrictedUser tile be safely removed?
Undesired IDMRestrictedUser login tile shows when users login, as shown:
Resolution
Delete the IDMRestrictedUser account through Control Panel → Add or remove user accounts.
Upgrade to CLE 3.7.3 or newer.
Additional Information
This account is created on workstations running CLE versions prior to 3.7.3 if IE8 is present. Deleting the account causes no harm; it will be recreated each time the restricted browser is launched if needed. With CLE versions prior to 3.7.3 the account is created if the workstation is running IE8. It is not created if the workstation is running IE9 or later.
The IDMRestrictedUser account is no longer created by CLE 3.7.3.
