Situation

WebAccess displays blank page on both Apache's port 80 and Tomcat's port 8080
Unable to view, load, access GroupWise WebAccess
Downgrade from GroupWise 2014 to GroupWise 2012

Resolution

On SLES
  1. Move webservices* files into a backup location, from a terminal window:
    • cd /usr/share/java/tomcat6
    • mkdir bak
    • mv webservices* bak

  2. Restart tomcat:
    rctomcat6 restart

On OES

  1. Move webservices* files into a backup location, from a terminal window:
    • cd /var/opt/novell/tomcat6/lib/
    • mkdir bak
    • mv webservices* bak
  2. Restart tomcat
    rcnovell-tomcat6 restart

Additional Information

Depending on version of SLES or OES, tomcat may be version 5, 6 or 7
Directories and rctomcat will also reflect the installed tomcat version
