Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3

Situation

If a device is rebooted while scanning for inventory (colw32 is running) then the inventory is not processed.  On the primary collection server, the WIF for the device (xml file) is moved to collection/inventory/waiting folder.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4 - see KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at " target="/kb/doc.php?id=7016614" href="/kb/doc.php?id=7016614">https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7016614

Workaround:  Rescan the device with full scan.  zac inv -f scannow

Cause

The sequence is being updated in the registry prior to confirming upload of the WIF.
