Situation

PSDETECT not allowing the DNS address in Email System Defaults

Resolution

Install PTF 1D04006. 
 
If for some reason the PTF cannot be installed at this time, use the following workaround:
Before going into PSMENU, run the following command:

OVRDBF FILE(QATOCTCPIP) TOFILE(QUSRSYS/QATOCTCPIP) MBR(CONFIG)  

Then you can go into PSMENU, and into PSDETECT and you will be able to put in the correct IP Address.

Cause

Prior to PTF 1D04006, PSDETECT was not reading the system tables properly to allow updating of the DNS or Host IP fields.
