Environment

Novell Messenger 2.2

Situation

Unable to start Novell Messenger: Archive Agent - Can't get the AA to load.
NM 2.2 error while loading shared libraries: libqfind.so: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory.

Resolution

Please see the following steps to resolve this issue:
  1. Verify /opt/novell/lib/libqfind.so exists.
  2. Add the following line to /etc/ld.so.conf: /opt/novell/lib
  3. Run the following command from terminal: ldconfig -v
  4. Start NMAA: rcnovell-nmaa start
