Situation
Installed one edition (Advanced or Standard) by mistake when the other edition was the one desired.
Resolution
If you have already installed activation credentials for an edition the steps below will not work. In that case you need to uninstall all activation credentials for the IDM engine, restart eDirectory, perform the steps below and only then install the new activation credentials for the edition desired.
Steps to change the edition information:
1) Uninstall all activation keys, then restart eDirectory.

2) Stop ndsd
3) Go to DIB directory. On Linux the default location is /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/dib/
4) Create a file with name .idme
5) If you want to set the IDM Edition to SE, then edit the .idme file and enter the number 2 in it. If you want to set the IDM Edition to AE, then edit the .idme file and enter the number 3 in it.
6) Start ndsd
7) Using dxcmd verify that the edition has been updated correctly.
8) Install activation key(s) for new version.
