Long delays when trying to click anywhere in Web interface after 1.1 upgrade

Novell Filr 1.1

Situation

Some LDAP users experience very long delays when they click on anything such as My Files, Net Folders, Shared By Me, etc. in the Filr web interface.

Resolution

A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 1.1 Hot Patch 1, available via the Novell Patch Finder. With the fix in place, the delays are no longer observed.

Cause

The problem affects users who are member of hundreds or thousands of groups.
Hint: To check for user's group membership, visit the user profile in Filr and notice the groups listed.
