Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3

Situation

Inventory CDF stops launching if Autodesk 2014 bundle is installed and a full scan has completed.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4 - see KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7016614

Cause

The issue is occurring because of the Autodesk software with SP1 that when detected through ARP is getting an invalid model version like ""

Additional Information

Have working CDF.
Install Autodesk 2014 bundle.
Run zac inv scannow to get a full scan on the device (that has never had Autodesk 2014 installed before, CDF launches.
Run zac inv scannow again, CDF does not launch.

The same Software for example  "Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 - Deutsch (German)" has a proper modelversion but in SP1 (Autodesk AutoCAD 2014 - Deutsch (German) SP1) release its ModelVersion is ""

There are three of the Autodesk software's that is causing the issue.  Issue appears to be with the SP1 and HF1 versions of the Autodesk.  This means that the versions of Autodesk that return invalid data will not have good information in the inventory reports.  This needs to be reported to Autodesk.

Have to handle these invalid charterers by preventing being added to inventory scan (xml file, also referred to as wif file) scan.
