Rerunning Install or Upgrade in non-English locale stops without error

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 Installation - Server
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3 Installation - Server

Situation

  • Upgrading from ZENworks 11.2.x to 11.3a or installing 11.3a
  • Selecting a non-English locale
  • The upgrade or install failed previously and is being run again
  • A message is seen saying that there may be an upgrade or install in progress
  • The prompt is chosen to continue anyway
  • The upgrade or install program stops without error

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4 - see KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7016614

Workaround for earlier versions
Rerun the upgrade and install in English locale

Cause

The upgrade or install program was expecting the English word "Yes" instead of another language
