Situation
When you launch Aegis's Operations Console on Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8, it may open the website using the Internet Explorer app, instead of opening it in the Internet Explorer browser on your desktop.
Resolution
1) Close all Internet Explorer sessions of Operations Console
2) Open Internet Explorer on the Desktop
3) Go to Tools\Internet Options
4) Under the Programs tab locate the section "Opening Internet Explorer"
5) In the drop down menu select the "Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop" option.

6) Click "Apply" and then OK
Cause
In Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 the OS has two different ways to run Internet Explorer. It can run as an app or it can run on the desktop. Many users have found that their setup is configured to default to using the App. The Aegis Configuration Console will not run properly in the IE App.
