No inventory after device object removal

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3

Situation

Device object gets deleted on device removal schedule or with manual delete from ZCC, without touching the device itself. After device re-registration, inventory will not get recreated.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4.1 - see KB 7016895 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.4.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround: Force a full scan by running zac inv -f scannow on the device.

Cause

Due to missing last scanid in the database.
