Special Characters in user Password cause Enrollment and User Portal Login failure

Novell ZENworks Mobile Management

Situation

Some special characters, such as a forward slash (/) cannot be used in a password with ZMM.  When attempting to authenticate with an unsupported character, a device may fail to enroll.  If already enrolled, the device may fail to successfully authenticate to the server.

Resolution

To prevent login failures, please ensure user passwords password contain only supported numbers, letters, and special characters.  

The following characters have been tested and confirmed to work properly in a ZMM password:  A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and the following characters: # * ( ) - + ' " @ ? ! , .
