iPrint Client- The given URL cannot be found

Environment

Open Enterprise Server 11 SP2 March 2016 Update
iPrint Client 6.02
iPrint Client 6.04

Situation

After applying the March 2016 update, installing an iPrint printer with a German umlaut results in the following error:

Printer name: germanü germanü

Error:
printer ipp//10.1.1.55/ipp/german? german? could not be located
iPrint Client- The given URL cannot be found

Updating the iPrint Client to version 6.04 results in the same error when installing printers with an umlaut.

Resolution

This has been reported to engineering.

Workaround:
Install the printer using iprntcmd:

Within a DOS prompt, type the following command:
Syntax:
iprntcmd -a ipp://<Server IP or DNS>/ipp/<PrinterName>
Example:
iprntcmd -a ipp://iprint01.mycompany.com/ipp/HP4020-3rdFlr
