If an agent was previously installed using the 3.1 installer and just upgrading to 3.1.0.1 did not resolve the issue, then please try the following:
- Try reinstalling the rexec package from a 3.1.0.1 Manager.
- Verify the rexec package is installed on the host in the Hosts Console (Host > Packages).
- (conditional) If it is installed, then uninstall it.
- Install the rexec package to the host agent (Select Install Packages)
- If the above does not help the issue, then please reinstall the agent on the server:
- Uninstall the agent
- Remove the host from the Hosts Console
- Install / register 3.1.0.1 on the server using the newly-released agent installers.

The following are previously accepted workarounds prior to the officially released fix:
Workaround 1:
- Register the agent to a PAM Manager, which has the rexec package available in the Package Manager.
Note: The rexec package can be made available to a Package Manager either by pulling it from the channel or by publishing it from an ISO. For further details, please refer to Downloading Package to a Package Manager. - Install the rexec package to the agent via the Hosts Console.
Note: For further details, please refer to Installing Packages on a Host.
Workaround 2:
- Install Privileged Account Manager Agent 3.0.1 and register the agent with the framework manager:
Please refer to Installing and Registering a Framework Agent. - Upgrade the agent(s) from 3.0.1 to 3.1:
If necessary, please refer to Upgrading to Privileged Account Manager 3.1.
Note: Multiple agents can be upgraded on a domain-by-domain level by selecting the container of host agents and selecting Update Domain Packages.
