Situation

How to export a Change Guardian Policy?

Resolution

  • Login to the Policy Editor. 
  • Locate the policy to export and select it. 
  • Select the export button at the bottom right of the window. 
  • The export policy window will appear . 
  • Specify the location and preferred file name. 
  • Once the file is exported in xml format it can be imported into another Change Guardian installation 4.0 or newer.

Cause

This process is needed when moving policies from Change Guardian 4.x or newer to a lab environment or when rebuilding a server.
