Installing the Controller on a Windows Source Workload Fails

Situation

While installing the controller on a Windows source workload, the job fails with the message ERROR: "Failed to retrieve controller ID: Access is denied.

Resolution

On the PlateSpin server, go to https://localhost/platespinconfiguration in a web browser.
Look for the setting InstallControllerUsingService.
Change its value to false and save it.
Retry the job.
