Environment

ZENworks Asset Management 11.4
ZENworks Configuration Management 11.4 Inventory
ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Inventory

Situation

ZENworks Asset Inventory Administrator-Defined Fields (ADF) and applying the Active Directory LDAP Usersource mapping,
the inventory will report invalid information and populate fields in other inventory devices.

Created ZENworks ADF "EmployeeID" and mapped it to Active Directory Employee ID

Went to win-10 device and put in employeeID.
Synced via the Asset Inventory LDAP Import Task.
Ran Inventory report.
employeeID can be seen for device win-10 along with User name John Doe.
However John Doe is also on other devices in the report. AND when those other devices are selected, then selecting "Edit" for those devices shows items filled in when they haven't had any "Edit" modifications to the objects.

Resolution

This is fixed in version ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Update 3 - see KB 7023221 "ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Update 3 update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7023221
