Switching to Java Web Launcher (do.jnlp) based edit in Vibe 4.0.4

Starting with Vibe 4.0.4, the default solution for editing files has been switched to MS-URI. This no longer requires the download and launching of the Java Web Launcher (do.jnlp) file or a Java applet using the NPAPI Framework (which is no longer supported by many browsers).

Users now see a single pop-up confirming whether they want to open the MS-Office application or not.  This option is only available for MS Windows users and MS-Office (2010 SP2 or newer) must be pre-installed on the user's computer.

This switch to MS-URI breaks the edit functionality for Windows based end users with a non MS-Office editor (like LibreOffice or OpenOffice) or a MS-Office version that does not support MS-URI ( like MS-Office 2007) .  

Customers who do not exclusively use MS Office for file edits from Windows clients can still revert to the Java Web Launcher (do.jnlp) based edit functionality as their edit tool.

Use the following steps to configure Vibe 4.0.4 to use Java Web Launcher (do.jnlp) for Edit-in-Place for all editable files:

Edit the <Vibe Installation Directory>/apache-tomcat/webapps/ssf/WEB-INF/classes/config/ssf-ext.properties file and add the following:

#Changes to enable editing with applets for all edits.
edit.in.place.for.ie=applet
edit.in.place.for.nonie=applet

Restart Vibe service for changes to take effect.
