Situation
The Java applets which facilitate the use of the 'drag-and-drop file upload' and 'edit-in-place' features in the Filr Web interface, expired on August 1st, 2018.
As a result, end users may experience one of the following issues:
a. Unable to add files via the drag-and-drop file upload (for browsers that do not support HTML5 file uploads or when using the CTRL + Add Files in a browser with java support)
b. Unable to edit files via the Edit This File option in the Web interface
As a result, end users may experience one of the following issues:

Resolution
These applets have been updated to renew the validity until July 27th, 2021 via the online update Filr 3 Security Update 4 available over the Filr 3.0 update channel.
Note: Clearing the Java cache may be needed, see here for how to clear the Java cache on a client machine.
