How to apply license codes for the NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries?

How to tell if the license code is temporary or permanent?

Resolution

To apply license codes for the NetIQ Security Solutions for iSeries:

  1. Type PSMENU on a OS/400 Command line.
  2. Select Option 80 Enter access codes.
  3. In the Codes fields,enter one set of codes per field. There will usually be four or five sets; the order in which the sets are entered is irrelevant.
  4. Press Enter.

Temporary codes will have dates listed under the VALID DATES column and indicate the date range the codes are valid for.
Permanent codes only have a date in the PURCHASED column and indicate the date the codes were entered.
