Resolution

  • Resolves an issue where, if a primary SMTP address already existed on the target mailbox.
Exchange Migrator created two Reply-To SMTP addresses on the target mailbox instead of designating a single address for each address type. (ENG309006)
  • Resolves an Issue With Post-Migration Message Synchronization
This hotfix resolves an issue where choosing the option to synchronize all messages since the last migration or synchronization resulted in all messages being synchronized instead of just the mail messages generated since the last migration or synchronization process. (ENG308465)
  • Resolves an Issue With Cross-Organization Migrations
This hotfix resolves an issue where cross-organization migrations from Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to Exchange Server 2010 failed because NetIQ Exchange Migrator was attempting to use the source credentials for both the source and target servers. (ENG306518)
  • Resolves a Timestamp Issue
This hotfix resolves an issue where NetIQ Exchange Migrator did not update timestamps as expected. After you apply this hotfix, when you migrate mailboxes with or without data, Exchange Migrator updates timestamps for migration and synchronization tasks. If you perform only a synchronization of permissions, Exchange Migrator does not update the timestamp of the task. (ENG310056)
  • Resolves an Issue With Data and Permissions Synchronization
This hotfix resolves an issue where NetIQ Exchange Migrator did not synchronize mailbox data and permissions on the target server if mailboxes were moved to a different container (OU) after migration. (ENG310140)
  • Resolves an Issue With Duplicate Folders in German Mailbox Migrations
This hotfix resolves an issue where migrating mailboxes in a German environment resulted in a set of German folders and a duplicate set of English folders with identical content being created in the target mailbox. (ENG308768)
  • Resolves an Issue With Mailbox Synchronization Using the EMCLI
This hotfix resolves an issue with mailbox synchronization using the Exchange Migrator command-line interface (EMCLI). Using the EMCLI did not synchronize any mailbox content, though this function worked correctly when performed using the Exchange Migrator console. (ENG310375)
  • Adds Support for Outlook 2010 Mailbox Profile Updates
With this hotfix, NetIQ Exchange Migrator now supports mailbox profile updates for users running the 32-bit version of the Microsoft Outlook 2010 mail client. (ENG292678)

Note: When you run the EMProfileUpdate utility for Outlook 2010 mailboxes, NetIQ Exchange Migrator creates a new OST file instead of keeping the original OST file. Due to changes in Outlook 2010, NetIQ Exchange Migrator cannot reuse the existing OST file on Outlook 2010 installations. OST file retention works as expected for Outlook 2007 and earlier versions, but NetIQ Exchange Migrator always resets the OST for Outlook 2010 mailboxes, regardless of command line parameters.
  • Adds New EMCLI Parameters for Mailbox Synchronization
This hotfix adds the following parameters to the EMCLI for use in synchronizing migrated mailboxes: /Incremental, /PermissionsOnly, and /RemoveDeleted. If you do not use any of the new parameters, NetIQ Exchange Migrator performs a full mailbox synchronization. (ENG310652) /Incremental Use this parameter if you want to synchronize only mailbox changes that occurred since the last synchronization.

/PermissionsOnly Use this parameter if you want to synchronize only mailbox permissions.

/RemoveDeleted Use this parameter if you want the synchronization process to remove any mailbox items that were deleted on the source mailbox, so they are not transferred to the target mailbox.
