Additional Information

Explanation of the message:
iPrint communicates with physical printers to gather status and other information. These communications occur over SNMP. The information sent from the physical printer to NDPSGW (the iPrint Gateway) is accomplished through Alert Codes. Not all Alert Codes are known by the Gateway.

While not necessary, you can determine which printers are sending SNMP codes that are unknown by the Gateway by following these steps:

a. At the server console, type:
NDPS MANAGER DEBUG DISPLAY=ON
b. Switch to the NDPS Manager Debug screen. You will see a blank screen.
c. Hit the o key (the letter o on your keyboard)
d. Hit the number 4 and hit Enter
e. At the "Enter Printer Agent Name or PA Number:" prompt, put in the number you see after gwHandle. Hit ENTER.
f. The screen will output the name of the Printer Agent that is receiving the unknown alert code. Make note of this Printer Agent name.
g. At the server console, type:
NDPS MANAGER DEBUG DISPLAY=OFF
h. Look up the make/model of the physical printer that Printer Agent (noted in step f) is configured to communicate to.
