Situation
The System is acting as a client
to a Windows Server. A share is mounted onto the system via
smbmount. This mount seems to be successful and a subsequent mount
shows:
but any attempt to access this share fails with an ERROR:Permission denied
even so everything seems to be configured correctly and maybe worked with a SLES8 before fine.

Resolution
Do not use
smbmount
ormount -t smbfs
as smbfs is deprecated. Instead
usemount -t cifs
