Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management - ZCM10
Novell ZENworks Control Center - ZCC

Situation

Bundle Creation Wizard in ZCC should allow the option of entering a unique action name during bundle creation.
Not able to enter a unique action name during bundle creation wizard.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.0.3 - see KB 3486285 "Updates to ZENworks 10 Configuration Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

The current behavior is to put a generic default action name in the bundle without any user intervention during the bundle creation process. This behavior is problematic for a Preboot bundle configured with a Multicast Image Set. When the generic default action name of "Multicast Image Set" is used, the multicast session name, which is displayed on devices that join that session, is non-intuitive or indistinguishable because the action name is used for the session name. (an example of a displayed session name would be "Multicast Image Set~ActionGUID") Therefore, it is difficult for the administrator to distinguish which mcast session is running, especially if multiple sessions are running at once. In traditional ZEN, the session name was created by the administrator and therefore was distinguishable and intuitive.
