Environment

Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Application Launcher (NAL)

Situation

ERROR: "Could not configure workstation for application ["<application dn>"] (id=209) Problem: Unable to access the NAL Service"

Launching application, Distribution Options>Application Files has one file set to "Copy Always", and the others set to "Copy if newer"

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 4, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
