Environment

Novell ConsoleOne 1.3.6f

Situation

If you add a user to a group, 4 attributes need to be updated:
  1. the member attribute on the Group object
  2. the Group membership of the User object
  3. the"security equal to" on the User object
  4. the"equivalent to me" on the Group object

With ConsoleOne 1.3.6f only items 1,2 and 3 are added if you add a user to a group from the Group object. If you add the user to the Group from the User object all 4 attributes are populated. This issue is critical because it leads to inconsistent data which is quite hard to identify and fix.

Resolution

This has been resolved in ConsoleOne 1.36h
