Situation
ZCM agent appears to cause 10 minute login delay from when login
credentials are entered until the Windows desktop appears.
Windows XP workstations without the ZENworks 10.1 agent installed login to the AD domain quickly.
Windows XP workstations that have the ZENworks 10.1 agent installed take 10 minutes to login to the AD domain.

Resolution
Three Windows 2000 AD domain policies were enabled that contributed
to the 10 minute login delay. These settings also caused the
login to be delayed as the system was trying to process a script
that could not be located.
To modify these group policies, run gpedit.msc and browse to Computer
Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy. The settings on the Windows 2000 AD server that needed to be modified are:
Apply Group Policy for computers asynchronously during startup
Apply Group Policy for users asynchronously during startup
Run Startup Scripts Asynchronously
The default setting for all of these should be "Not configured". Change the group policy pieces (above) first to be enabled for both Computer and User policy to be applied asynchronously. After this change has been made, update the policy by running gpupdate /force on the client.
