Dependent package error when installing ZENworks 11 on SLES 10 SP3 64-bit

Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management Installation - Server

Situation

During install of ZENworks 11, the online software update is triggered on SLES 10 SP3 64-bit, saying that a package slesp3-jpackage-utils (noarch) needs to be installed. When trying to install this package, it fails with a dependency error.

 
If the button "Resolve conflicts via YaST" is clicked, a blank panel is displayed
 

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.1 - see KB 7008746 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround: at a command prompt, enter the command
rug in -y jpackage-utils.x86_64
