Situation
Discovery task does not locate any computer or server object
Error:
A message like the following gets logged in loader-messages.log:
"...
LDAP Discovery errorjavax.naming.CannotProceedException; remaining name ',DC=dom,DC=mingos,DC=home'
..."
where ,DC=dom,DC=mingos,DC=home is the Active Directory domain object itself.

Resolution
This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Workaround:
Select a domain folder for the Discovery Task search context where computer and/or server accounts are actually located. The accounts can also be located in subfolders if Recursive Search option is selected.
