Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Situation

During the ZCM agent refresh an error is written to the zmd-messages.log on the workstation and uploaded to the server.
 
Error [ZESMPolicyHandler.ZESMCORE_COMM_FAILED][Unable to communicate with ZESService. Please make sure that ZES Service is running.]

Resolution

Workaround: Create a generic application policy and assign it to all workstations.  The policy could be for a dummy executable, for example.
