Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.1 MU2

Situation

Subscription error:  "An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x1b) was found in the element content of the document."
 
Following ZCM documentation to update SLES 11 SP1 to SLES 11 SP2 generates an error.
 
Subscription downloaded successfully.
 
Subscription seemed to install successfully, but error seen in messages and logs.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.2 - see KB 7010757 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010757
