Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Situation

After reinstalling the Linux primary server, restoring the Certificate Authority and restoring the Database, the Server's agent does not trust its own certificate.

The Primary server has two objects in ZCC, 1 large object with orginal guid, and one small object with new guid.

The agents contact and authenticate to the server successfully. Only the
sever's agent is affected.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.1 - see KB 7010042 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010042

Workaround:
Delete the zentruststore and restart the zplat agent service.

Cause

The password for the zentruststore is the DeviceData and if the DeviceData is changed the zentruststore is not updated.
